Grammar in Use

Dear Teacher

This section provides to you with ready made, graded grammar workbooks for the primary classes. These class wise grammar worksheets are designed to give young learners of the English language adequate exercise in essential areas of grammar and composition. These exercises can be use independently or as a supplement to a suitable textbook or Coursebook. You must, however, make sure through extensive oral and board work that a pupil is ready to work out a particular exercise.

This workbook also intends to help the young learner in his/her early attempts at independent composition: writing a paragraph. This work should start as early in the academic year as possible and should be spread over all the terms. The comprehension passages at the end of the book should be used in the same manner.

Wherever necessary, rules have been explained for the students’ benefit.
